I've heard of it, but mostly in 2 year schools.

It's a good program if you just want to get your feet wet, but if you feel comfortable with the material and are strong academically, I don't see why you would choose CET over CompE.

Because im taking it, and im in my first year. Its bouncing alot in different subjects. To Software, to hardware to Digital logic. Can i make a living with it with a bachelors? Oh and it is a 2 year for a diploma. You have a choice to go on to 2 more years.

Agreed I go to RIT my roomate is getting a bachelors in CET, but my understanding is that its a more "ands on Computer engineering, aka watered down theory and more application, which means you'll have less of a base to work with when you enter the work field.

I'd recommend CE over CET, but it really depends what your goals are.

and yeah my CE experience is a lot of programming, digital logic, software engineering, and circuit design. So you're learning what you should for a CE degree, and dont get me wrong im not trying to belittle CET its a good major and very high in demand right now, and its less stressful than CE would be

At the end of the 2 years, see how you feel about it. If you did well, and like it, I would seriously try to go for a CompE BS at your school, or if they don't offer it, try to transfer to a 4-year school that does.

Sure you can make a living with it, but it is a "lesser" degree in a sense. In the sense that MIS is a more real-world application of basic CS concepts, so is CET a real-world application of more basic CompE concepts.
