CNN Youtube Democratic Debate

"Modern Progressive" nice.
White Hare/hair ... WTF??
Reparations... you gotta be kidding me!

Edit: would have been nice to see the top 3 answer the Republican Running mate question.... but they probably just would have redirected like that Edwards weasel.

How anyone can fall for Hillary's BS definition of "liberal" is beyond me. "Modern progressive"? Yeah, right.

I think this is long overdue. I think that anyone that has ever owned a slave should absolutely pay reparations to their former slave.

Anyone have any info about Obama accepting money from lobbyists? (The whole Gravel/Obama argument early in the show).

This is what I found from the LA Times.
"Although Obama does not take money from lobbyists, he continued to accept donations from law firms that have major lobby operations in Washington."

You can always call on Gravel to entertain if things get dull!

Oh and... Universal Service or something like that. .... i want to say yes, as long as I don't have to do it at after 21, haha.

Yet another round of debates with idiots asking questions that have no meaning and candidates giving non-answers. Nothing new.

Having youtube questions was a great idea. The debate format was horrible though. Shorten the number of questions and have everyone answer the question.

lol @ anderson cooper asking about the no child left behind act, but not asking hillary - isn't it her bill...

thought biden did the best out of all of them

obama a close second

That would have been better. I also could lived without the snowman...

Too many candidates side-stepping the questions. Too many responding to a previous question and then complaining they don't have enough time to answer their current question.

The debate with youtube was much better than the standard format with a moderator that asks questions.

Definitely shorten the # of questions next time and allow everyone to answer Important questions.

Overall it gave me a higher opinion of Biden, and Clinton.

Oh, and Clinton looked grumpy near the end since she wasn't getting any questions.

I'll check this out. BTW, anybody supporting slavery reparations should see how well reparations are working for Native Americans.

No Child Left Behind is Bush's bill.

Why did they have to choose a wacky gun nut to bring up an important gun control issue? That moron really didn't help his cause!

I wanted some serious answers from Clinton and Obama on that question, but it became a circus sideshow instead :|

It was funny though. I was dissapointed that they didn't spend more time talking about Universal Health Care, Tax Hikes for the richest 5%, revamping Medicare, revamping social security, and revamping No Child Left Behind.

Just watched some of these and have to say that I like Biden, he seems like a big ball buster but has that democratic part of him keeping him (in theory) in check. He'd probably kick most of the other candidate's asses in a cage fight. Edwards should go away, he's a young pup and I won't forget the schooling he took in the debate against Cheny a few years back. I like that old guy on the edge, but more like a grandfather. The dude who said he'd take the troops out in 6 months and a bunch of other stupid things is a waste of time and semi-braindead. Hillary is smart and articulate and does not get pushed around. I really could see her running the show. Obama is incredibly well spoken and my impressions of him have gone up. He looks like a guy who would be president on a movie. I guess that means he's presidential.

No Child Left Behind is Bush's bill.

yet hillary seems to think she had a huge impact on it being passed.

"I was one of the key negotiators of The No Child Left Behind Act (NCLBA)"

you and I may not think it's her bill, but she does.

That yahoo that asked the gun control question really didn't help his stupid cause. Neither did the snowman/global warming.

The only one electable is John Edwards. MAYBE Bill Richardson. Obama would make a GREAT VP.

Key negotiators does not mean it was her bill. It was Bush's bill. Everyone(Democrat) was on board because Ted Kennedy was for it. Kennedy likes to get legislation passed, even if it is bad legislation, then fix it afterwards.

Also, just to add, since Republicans controlled congress and the presidency, it was their only shot to get federal funding for public education. If they weren't for the bill, they wouldn't have gotten their own bill passed.
