None of the reactions from the righties surprise me.

Due to their brain defect, this error has been deemed as an assault - and is being treated as such.

Alarms have been raised. People are claiming they are being victimized. Lots of sensationalism. Nothing new here.

I didn't know you'd jumped on the cooties bandwagon. Moonie will be so happy to have another convert. Unless you are Moonie, which is a lot easier to believe than someone being foolish enough to believe his nonsense.

Ok If I was wrong then what was the reason started the thread?
Because I thought it was humorous. Did you see me ranting in the OP? My commentary was tongue-in-cheek and I don't see how it could ever be interpreted otherwise. I thought it was something that everyone, regardless of their leanings could get a little laugh from. Instead, it was deemed to be an affront. Those that felt so may want to ask themselves why that is.

Thank you for sharing your feelings on what you just know I was feeling. LOL! I get such a kick out of this place. Every thread here is a social experiment that keeps repeating itself over and over.

You do realize it was you that posted this
Block your ears, gird your loins, run from the room or call the DHS "if you see something say something" hot line kids because you're about to hear the National Anthem. No, it's not an onion piece.

It's pretty clear that Thebobo was dead on about his interpretation of your crazy ass rage. Not his fault you act nutty and then you get called on it. Perhaps you should consider returning to reality once a week or so instead of spending all your time in the crazy right-wing rage land.

Yeah sure, you've got it all figured out. Can't pull one over on a smart guy like you, no-siree.

Well, if it weren't for the Daily Caller, I wouldn't know when my fundamental patriotic identity needs to be offended.

Bless God and Country for the Daily Caller.

cnn viewership is lower then snail snot. that's why they have to come up with this chite in the fan action lines and sound bites. They would be better off running infomercials for diet pills..they might get a few people to watch.

are you actually arguing that CNN created this "news story"?

:hmm:

Shh, don't rain on their rage parade. To paraphrase our sharp as a tack VP, they've turned this into a 'big fucking deal'.

let's play with a hypothetical:

As it is apparently true that some do consider playing only a snippet of the anthem to be offensive, how would the Daily Caller have handled that situation, if CNN aired only a fragment of the song (Against their own policy), without the "warning"?

And, had the Daily Caller ran with that as your daily dose of conservative rage, would you have flown off with it just as with this current...issue?

I suppose the answer depends on a few things, of which I am still confused:

--is it the actual warning that enrages you? Meaning--that there is an assumption that someone should be offended by the anthem?

--is it the existence of any warning? Meaning--is it this anti-PC sort of response that gets your crawl? --the fact that they shouldn't care if anyone should be offended by how they present it, so just play the damn thing however they want?

...I am still confused
Why yes, yes you are. But it is not my place to tell you how to think. You must draw your own conclusions and whether they are right or whether they are wrong you can be certain that they are your own. Best of luck, I'm rooting for you.

I just want to know how to properly direct my rage, so I can properly tune it to yours.

--is it the suggestion that someone might be offended by this specific thing that offends you?

--or is it the acknowledgement than someone might be offended, for anything, at all?
