The original CNN photo is simply underexposed. It looks like they posted what came out of the photographer's camera. The same photo (alchy's edit) at fox has not only been lightened, it has been run through an image enhancement filter (such as Kodak SHO) and (over)sharpened.

So why would FOX want to make Condi look more white?

actually I think the color in the edited photo looks a lot closer to what Ive seen of her skin tone in the past. The Unedited photo is garbage. I would have done the same thing to it.

this thread is so stupid. different companies probably have different batch processing of images that crop, resize, auto color correct, whatever they may have set for web images. get real folks. this isn't a conspiracy, this isn't racism, this is just... nothing at all.

plenty of people look different depending on lighting, angles, etc. maybe in the lighter picture she was under a lot of lights, maybe in the other one she was not. maybe she wore a ton more makeup one day... who knows, whatever it is, i don't think its some conspiracy...

As far as the skin tone thing and anyone really giving a rat's ass, isn't that more of an issue with the AA community? I never heard of "paper sack black", etc from anyone but blacks.

Along the same line, a friend of mine is very dark, he flirts with women & mentions that they look as if there may be some AA in them genetically, when they say no, he says "Would you like some black in you?"

I don't care what you do to Condi Rice she won't be attractive to me. And yes before anyone asks it is because she's black.

Honestly, there are much more attractive black women out there than Condi Rice. I see good looking black chicks just about every day. Sure they are not 50, but then again neither am I.

and its pretty obvios for anyone who knows anything about retouching photos that it has been retouched

the one on cnn is stright from the camera the one on fox was worked on

didnt notice yours was different from the fox one untill after I posted
both are retouches, that can be seen if you know what to look for
