CNN, the network of fear

Hope this isn't a repost, I searched around. Might be off topic, but I thought it might be more relevant here, because while it's satire, I think it really does strike a chord on what's wrong with the mass media today, and in particular CNN.

OMG, I want this in my sig! "If you build a better mousetrap, the terrorists will build a better mouse."

lol...I actually thought about using that as my sig as well. Gotta wonder if CNN's journalists think at all before opening their mouths. "Of course, we wouldn't want to give any terrorists any ideas after an hour-long segment on how to turn a gatorade bottle into a bomb".

That was one of the funniest things I have ever seen. The problem with Mass Media today is its Mass media. The write for their audience, not for information.

Yes, if you havent come to realise that the news stations are entertianment channels just like everything else on TV then I feel sorry for you. They are trying to get good rating to sell commercials and make money, if they didnt do they would go out of buisines. I'm not trying to imply that they are bad, quite the contrary, they provide lots of usefull information, HOWEVER, you must run everything they say threw a filter, hopefully getting news/information from multiple sources in order to filter out as much of the bias and sensationalism as you can.

very funny...yet very sad.

Gatorade and Hairspray? Are they even trying anymore, or are they just trying to fear monger the population!?!

My god at the rate things going I hope I could still live in the US in another 15 years and retain my freedoms!

good clip! this is why I don't bother watch the news on tv. "HOWEVER, you must run everything they say threw a filter" - BrownTown
I tell my family same thing, watch the news very carefully most there sh!t is bs.
