What media blackout? Yesterday evening ABC was showing dead bodies laying around from a lot of different locations in NOLA.

You don't have to say it. Some things can be accurately implied. If you feel this way, no dead bodies shown, I can respect that. However, I want to see everything I can. In order to make appropriate decisions I need complete information, and pictures are part of the story.

i don't feel they should be restricted from showing corpses, so you are inaccurately reading my feelings on this.
i am saying that to hound the rescuers and show as many of the dead as possible is not necessary.
That is total BS. If pictures are shown besides dead bodies floating in the water, they will have their identies hidden, be in bodie bags, etc.
It seems to me I recall seeing dead bodies from 9-11. Even people jumping out of windows to their deaths. We heard about it all the time, nothing but bits and pieces, etc.
I guess it's OK when to show when Bush WANTS the effect, but distasteful when he doesn't want the effect.

Your argument is the same as someone saying they don't want to watch graphic violence or sexuality on TV...if you don't want to watch it, don't turn it on. Stupid simple.
If you don't want to see what you "predict" they will show, stick to major network news.
I'm very happy CNN did this; this administration is notorious for keeping the truth from the public. In this case, the truth is that FEMA's gross negligence resulted in the death or injury of an unknown number of people in the affected region.
