Wow, way to push even more black men to #WalkAway, CNN! The backlash is delicious. Good luck attacking a black male icon using that kind of charged and triggering language, CNN. Will be great to see what Trump's black male numbers jump to next week after the Kanye/Jim Brown visit to the White House. Also consider what would happen if anyone of any color used the term "token negro" on Fox or any other conservative news site. How is this ok? Gotta love derogatory terms being slung around b/c they don't fit into your neat little partisan box.

Hodgetwins (1.2mil followers on Youtube) reaction:

"So you mean to tell me, a black man HAS to be Democrat. Is that what you sayin'?"

Anthony Brian Logan (214k followers on Youtube) response:
https://youtu.be/LavP9CBrc0g
"In 2005 he came out and said that George W Bush does not care about black people after Katrina... Kanye's been the same person since the beginning, he has not changed but since his point of view is not popular right now, all of a sudden he's a bad guy, all of a sudden he's mentally ill... I just wanna say Kanye West, I support you boss, I don't agree with everything you say but I appreciate your opinions and your ability to have an open mind."

Brandon Tatum's (170k followers on YT) response:
https://youtu.be/yyO6a_BOyxs
"Now you notice, they didn't say nothing about Jim Brown with Kanye at the White House... Jim Brown is a real activist. Jim Brown been doing this since they been peeing in their beds."

Trump tweets:
https://twitter.com/DonaldJTrumpJr/status/1050133931767619584
"Kanye dares to think for himself so @CNN commentators mock him, saying Kanye (a wildly successful businessman) 'is what happens when negros don’t read.' At some point you have to ask, why is free thought & expression so dangerous & scary to liberals?

Blacks are expected to be democrats, or they are berated. That in itself is a form of oppression. How about we live in a free country and therefore are free to be a member of whatever party we want? It takes a lot of courage to cross that line.

They called him "the token negro of the Trump administration" because he's allowing Trump to use him to pretend to not be racist.

I'd actually agree with some of what compuwiz says above as a general proposition. But they're right about Kanye - he's an attention whore. Which is precisely why he's come out for Trump. Same reason he made a stink at the Grammies over Taylor Swift. His MO is to get attention by being a dick and pissing people off.

Pretty much.

It's also ironic the party who rails against PC culture and harbors white supremacists openly is now suddenly concerned. It almost gives the illusion of legitimate concern....almost...

"Ye shall know the Truth, and the Truth will set you free.." -- Motto of the CIA.

The truth might not always be pretty, but one thing it will always be, is the truth. Kanye IS a "token negro". Put another way, 400 years ago, he would have been a "house ni**er" that fetched for Massa, and helped Massa catch runaway slaves. He is the poster "boy" for the FYGM mindset. He has no issues with cops beating/killing a black, as long as HE'S not the black being beaten.

I think he's a disgusting piece of human filth, and the fact he's married to a Kardashian speaks volumes.

Water always rises to it's lowest level. Especially in sewers.

Neither Colin Powell, Condelezza Rice, nor Clarence Thomas are Democrats. Ask yourself what sets them apart from Con Yay.

Kanye is berated because he is a jackass that wants to remove the laws that abolish slavery. Like Trump he talks but doesn't know what he's talking about. When he dissed the Aryan princess people like you should be on board putting his uppity ass in its place. /s

BTW - Which face am I talking to, this one or the one that supported Kanye when he said George Bush doesn't care about black people?

I seem to remember Colin Powell was well respected by most Democrats so fuck you and your feelings.

I think it’s funny the op still thinks #walkaway was a real movement. Might be time to find sources other than the right wing echo sphere.

When black Americans call another black American an attention whore and token I’m having a hard time being outraged. There is ample evidence he’s just an attention whore. That and Kanye himself has said he doesn’t like to read.

“Sometimes people write novels and they just be so wordy and so self-absorbed,” West said. “I am not a fan of books. I would never want a book’s autograph.

“I am a proud non-reader of books. I like to get information from doing stuff like actually talking to people and living real life,” he said.

As a person of mixed race (african american + hispanic) nearly every person of color I know hates Kanye and calls him an idiot and worse. Nothing really new here. Also the people of color, family and friends, I know are all democrat, not because we are brain-washed but because it's pretty clear that one party stands for racism and racist policies.

Really, so you and your friends don’t support a person who calls you stupid rapists just because a musician supports him?

Shocking. (Honestly, the OP would be shocked)

Typical of the left.
Yep, it is typical of the left to criticize anyone who endorses the institution of slavery.
Just like it is typical of the right to try to shut down any free speech they disagree with by falsely claiming that speech interferes with their own.

For those who noticed that OP is an idiot and care to watch the source video: Full Video

OP is an idiot because he believes followers on social media and youtube are the equivalent of authority.

I wonder if OP visits forums where white people call out other white people as "race traitors" and gets similarly enflamed.

CNN's panel format has been flawed for years...how many idiots have they been forced to disavow now?

Identity politics is the left's MO lately. Any deviation from the group think will not be tolerated. The real fascists today.

Odd that actual fascists identify with the Republican Party then, huh. I would think that actual Nazis would know which party was more fascist, do you think they just made a mistake and checked the wrong box or something? I can understand that, sometimes those boxes are close together.

Isn't it fun how these right wing extremists believe that their free speech requires the ability to speak without criticism or disagreement?
Don't you dare disagree with them or say something they don't approve of, because then you've infringed on their right to free speech by daring to speak freely yourself!
