CNN Is Stupid

So I have been watching CNN all day, and they keep running this story about the super secret U.S. base in Saudi that will be covertly used in the assault on Iraq. They go on further to talk about some of the aspects of the base, and actions that will or could be conducted there. OK, now to my point....

HOW SUPER SECRET IS THIS BASE IF YOU HAVE BEEN TALKING ABOUT IT ALL DAMN DAY????

jeesh...

I bet that super secret base will really surprise iraq now...

boneheads

Little do they know that the secret base is actually in YEMEN! They'll NEVER think to look for it there.
It's kinda like how Pres. Bush was sequestered in Cuba on 9/11/01.

Guess u didn't listen to cnn after 9/11 happened. When the first plane hit it was called an accident, when the second one hit it was called very bad day for accidents when the third one hit they didn't know what to call it but they didn't call it tarrorist act untill latter on in the day. So yes i knew cnn was and is stupid for very long time.

yeah imagine how stupid they would look if they started throwing the word "terrorist" out like it was pennies at hookers and it ended up being nothing but an accident.

but what are the chances of two different airplanes hitting world trade center 15 minutes appartment and also hitting tower 2.Even if they lost total control of the harddrolects (sp?) they still could turn by using the engines. So terrorist would not be stupid at all in this cituation

CNN isn't stupid. They're doing their job, and making lots of money, and that's the whole point. It obviously worked on you didn't it?

The people who leaked this information are the stupid ones.

The problem with CNN is the same as for most news agencies. People. Most have a limited desire to understand details, so the news is in Dr. Seuss sized portions. Sometimes they do have detailed reports, but often they are more about entertainment not substance. The two exceptions of note are the BBC and NPR. BTW, NPR had (and still may have) an interview conducted of Rumsfeld by the BBC. Some tough questions, not at all like the too restrained briefings. Very revealing.

You also have to love those shows where they show the terrorists exactly what to do too, like as in...

Tonight On DateLine: How terrorists might come in through our ports and blow up a nuke BECAUSE NO IS WATCHING THERE, and HOW TO GASS A BUILDING with Cyanide and WATER SUPPLIES, HOW TO POISON THEM.........etc...

It's the price we pay for having a free press.

I'd rather have a stupid, free press than a smart, government-controlled press anyday.

LOL - no government controlled media??? I guess you must have missed President Bush's "news conference" with his pre-staged questions and answers...

If you don't think your government is controlling the media then I have a question for you if you are willing to do some research - what woman did NOT get to ask a question of the president and WHY? Hint: this woman has asked a question of every president at every white house news conference over the last many decades and all the sudden she gets dissed...

i can see most here didn't take political science, to those that took probeably learned the following will remind u and those that never took it. Whitehouse decided who sites were, those reporters that are know to be hostile to this party are sit in the back. The front reporters are the ones that usually ask easy questions. At front right to middle usually are reporters with question that have been prearanged prior to news conference. Now if the questions from the back start getting hot then the reporters from the front get picked on. Now if for some reason the reporters infornt get also hot then they go to the right. Regarding yesterday speech, it seems that they decided to keep hostile level down and instead of using regular pattern they picked on specifc people. Seems if they didn't do that much harder question were going to be asked which is what white house don't want/need when they are trying to get us public ready for war and trying to get support in un. As for the question who didn't get called for the first time i don't know yet. Didn't watch news conference. However i would love to know who that person was. Would not be suprised it would be one of the reporters that have been hostile before to this presidency and wrote/ reported stories on the upcoming war in a negative ways.

Can someone translate?

the best thing cnn ever did was showing two polls back to back

the first was "can you pick iraq out on a map" and of course an appalling number of people (the majority) got it wrong

the second was "which news service do you trust the most" and of course the majority picked cnn.

the people in the defense department are clever. clever enough to leak information about secret bases to f*ck with people🙂

suuuuuuuuuuper secret - don't tell anyone!! LOL.

Anyone ever wonder where they got those videos of Osama with the AK-74 or the Al Queda guys on the Monkeybars and crawling out of the ground?
Hell - we made them when we were training them, we used them against Russia when they were fighting FOR US !
We sold them the weapons, we showed them how to use them - Rumsfeld and Chaney outfitted them - what goes around comes around.

That's exactly what happened with the Oklahoma bombing so to a certain degree we can say lesson learned but I do chuckle whenever I hear CNN tell me they are the most trusted news source. lolol
