...and hopefully I can get it axed from my University's cable service as well, but I digress. Linkage

What's that saying... FOX News Channel, "0wnz j00", I believe.

Where did you get that from? Sounds like CNN was asking too much compared to what the cable companies were willing to pay.

I bet they are just trying to make room to bring in MSNBC so they can get Phil Donahue, everyone loves phil.

So they drop CNN and get three channels in it's place, or get to pick from those three other channels?

Haha, they are going to get their "News" from Fox :D
Fox has got to be the tabloidest of all "News" channels. And they pander to their audience in their news analysis, so expect more pro Israel bias on Fox. I guess Israelis spent too much money on weapons can't afford 2 news channels :D

here in nyc on sunday mornings there is a call-in religion talk show hosted by representatives of major faiths, excluding
islam. this past sunday it was rabbi potasnik's turn to host the show and his guest was the u.s. isreali ambassador.

rabbi potasnik asked the ambassador if in his opinion cnn was biased against isreal, and the ambassador pointedly said
that he did not think so.

No, it all started with spending a lot more coverage time interviewing suicide bomber's family members instead of Israelis- they got pissed (rightly so, but what do you expect from the most biased news network?), and started petitioning against CNN. It went through and just snowballed from there. They could have afforded it if they wanted to, but they decide not to watch crap.

HAHA! His ratings on the first debut night nearly toppled O'Reilly, but have just plummented since. He'll be out of there in a year, max.

Nope, I believe they've had all of those channels for awhile now, they're just dropping CNN. FOX is the most popular over there, as it is here.

You may be right about Fox, but they have O'Reilly. O'Reilly is the man.

O'Reilly's ratings are amazing- Larry King hasn't been able to hold a candle to him recently. He's half the reason I'm trying to get my school to carry FNC. Hannity & Colmes rock too (well, Hannity does anyway, ha!).

Religion on the Line does not exclude Islam. The Islamic cleric that used to host the show along with the others died, and they have not yet found a replacement.

Yes, but does O'Reilly have Larry King's ability to find guests that noone cares about? I didn't think so :D
This is a case of pandering and economic sensorship. Fox says what Israelis want to hear and they get rewarded.
Notice how CNN always notifies the viewer when a story from Israel has been reviewed by Israeli sensors, but Fox never does. I guess Israel doesn't like to be exposed for its sensorship. But to me that kind of stuff is important. It goes to credibility.
As far as O'Reilly and Hannity, they cover mostly American issues, so it will get boring for Israelis really fast.

That is YOUR opinion. From the article the reason is stated as being unable to reach a new contract.

Not opinion, fact. Just not from that from that article, and I can't find the other one I'm referencing from, so if you want to not believe me, that's fine.

The coverage of the suicide bombers families created a huge tumult in Israel. Lots of Israelis became very pissed at CNN over it. That is a fact. It's also a fact that the cable companies are going to give their customers what they want to see, not what they dont wanna see. So CNN is out, let them blame on contract negotiations or whatnot, but thats gotta have something to do with it.
