Why did the first two driver interviews seem really really dumb?

1- Its like a combination of Nascar and F1.
Really.. Really?

2- We're pulling 4Gs so its like I weight 4x what i normally do.
How exactly are the ALMS cars pulling 4Gs straight down? Pretty sure that 4G rating is horizontal, which isn't weight..

at top speed...not unbelievable w/ the downforce on those cars

Im pretty tired, so if my physics seem way off just ignore me.

The car is making downforce, so the car will weigh more at high speed; that i understand. How exactly does that a person in the car weigh any more? The car isnt accelerating towards the track, so the G forces (vertically atleast..) would be G, not 4G.

Am I way off base here? damn i need some sleep

i guess by 'I' he meant "my car while i'm driving" as in "I passed him on the left"

Yeah, now that i went back and look at it I have a feeling the quote was just taken out of context. He was most likely talking about horizontal forces. Either way, 4G+ horizontally is a very unique experience to say the lease

Possibly they are referring to pulling multiple Gs horizontally. It would feel like you were multiple times heavier than normal but in some direction other than straight down.

Bottom of a dip will cause your body to feel very heavy, just as the top of a hill makes your body feel very light.

When you begin to go up an incline you will also feel heavy if you are going fast.
