CNN.com finally has free video!

Wow, finally.

I remember always seeing articles on their site, clicking it, thinking it's just a news article, but it was a video.
Yeah right, like I was going to pay to see it.

Real is just sad they have no other ways to generate revenue. but w/o doing this they have no way to compete MS, and at the end WMP will dominate and the real losers are the ppl like us.

(Wrong forum imho)

Something that used to cost money is now free. Yes, this belongs in Hot Deals.🙂

As others have stated, many other sites have had numerous free video feeds for awhile now (namely Yahoo having the best/largest selection).

I thought it was always pretty common knowledge that CNN is far LEFT wing news reporting just like most newspapers.

It's only left wing if you're on the ultra right wing.

Try this. Over the next while, compare the stories on the front page of BBC News and CNN. Pay particular attention to anything U.S. related on the BBC site. After a while you should find something strange. Some stories that are prominent on the BBC site cannot be found on the CNN site, or only found with great difficulty. These stories might relate to gaffs by the Whitehouse, or stories about the results from official investigative reports that shed a poor light on the Whitehouse. Where are they on CNN? Either nowhere to be found, or buried so deep there is no easy way to navigate to them unless you know what you're looking for. Don't take my word for it, do your own comparisons. I think you'll end up agreeing with me.

Your comparing a British news agency with an american news agency. You can't do that.

Why can't you compare? Actually, its incredible that a British news agency covers more significant US news than an American agency.

Though a moderate, I find the state of the US press to be abysmal. ClockerXP has it exactly right. You don't necessarily have to agree with BBC, but as a citizen, you sure as shootin' should have access to all the information.

WWERMT? (What would Edward R. Murrow think?)

For the younger set: Murrow biography

(Yeah, I know this is irrelevant to a Hot Deal.):frown:

Its only Right wing propaganda if you are Ultra Left Wing. 😛

RealVideo quality is crap, and their software install a bunch of spy-ware crapola I don't want or need. I refused to install RealPlayer on my laptop and desktop PC.

It is, no matter what Zim would like to believe. As far as getting my US news from BBC, I think I'll pass. Yahoo is "left" enough for me if I want to go there and read that. I don't, but it's there if I want it. I don't need the Brits telling me what I should be concerned about in my own country. I'll leave that to my own thinking.
As to a "hot" deal, I don't really think this qualifies but maybe to those that read CNN it is. Almost all other news agencies have had free video for some time. Not many have ever had the nerve to charge for it. Go figure.... charging for news. LOL!
