abc-9-11-photosjpg-d15e84210aa7e775.jpg

number of people killed in 9/11: maybe 4000 if you round up
number of people killed because god damn fucking republicans don't want universal healthcare: 45,000 every year

I would post a dramatic picture of someone dying because they can't afford chemotherapy but pictures of cancer patients are disgusting and I'm eating almonds at my desk right now.

No, the fact is out of the dozen people in that photo, two are white women, one is half black. Have things really changed?

Instead of them ALL being white men? Yes, things have measurably changed.

I'm not against healthcare reform.... I'm just against the version that the current administration rammed down our throats.

Also while the media may be giving Obama an "Editorial BJ" per se, that is a pretty awesome picture. Also, as Colbert put it "Barack Obama is now the #1 Most Bin Laden Killingest President Ever"

Actually it might be worse today because Obama is only half black but Cunnilingus Rice from the Bush days was full black. The room has lost 0.5 black people! That's almost 3/5 of a person!

When I first saw this photo I immediately thought to myself that it's extremely intriguing and will get a lot of play. There's something intangible that I can't quite put my finger on about it... what it shows, how it shows it, what it means, etc... it's fascinating, powerful, and potentially very symbolic. I think that's all the article is doing, talking it out and sharing what other people are saying about it.

The article is a little fluffy but for some reason I connect with the photo. The OP's commentary is just weird.

actually i think bush had more diversity in his cabinet than obama.

over all i thought the CNN piece was very racist.

Especially the parts where it's basically saying "this is the first time our CNN editors have not thought of black people as savages"
Um....grats on that one, CNN.

Yes, things have changed. 20 years ago, they would likely all be white males. In addition, and this may be wrong, but it seems that the younger-looking people are not white males. That suggests to me that future leaders will be even more diverse. That suggests a more diverse leadership picture 10 years from now.

Heh. Righties are exhibiting a great deal of political penis envy wrt the highly successful operation against Bin Laden.

It's all about them, all the time, and shriveling in their shorts has to be humiliating... They got nothin', nothin' at all, so tearing down the other side is the only way to compensate...

Obama killed 3000 people. Napolitano is being allowed to destroy our way of life.

Not even in the same league. Obama's like the 12-year-old boy who dreams of pitching in the Majors, whereas Napolitano's the retired 5-time Cy Young Hall of Famer.

Pretty sure a lack of universal health care is not the reason those people are dying.

I'm pretty sure the reason those people are dying is a lack of affordable health care (oh, and also the terminal and often incurable diseases they have).

The two are not mutually inclusive (though they aren't necessarily mutually exclusive, either). Pretty sure no reform suggested to this point has done anything to address the affordability of health care. At best, it just shifts costs. Most often, though, the proposed "reforms" actually cost more.

So if you want someone to blame, blame everyone, because the Democrats are just as at fault.

lolwut?
The picture has 2 women. 1 of them is Hillary Clinton. Hillary Clinton is 63 years old. 1 person is black. All of the rest are old, and white, and male.

Who are those people anyway. Are they important? Is the woman in the background a powerful woman like Clinton or a sex slave like Monica?

Just tells me CNN is racist. It's like they saw the picture and shouted 'Hey look, a BLACK man!".

It's sort of amusing.

Lol. The photo has some significance, maybe it reflects Obama's leadership style, but it's hardly "classic" and that article is full of it.

I'm a white American, I have never seen any President (or politician for that matter) as my "protector in chief", regardless of race or gender. I know of no one with an oz of common sense and/or self control who does.

And the author of that article sounds like she cuddles an Obama plushie every night.

They're in the White House situation room. I don't think that they have waiters and chauffeurs waiting around there.

The article says that the other woman is the director for counter terrorism.

Apparently it's a mystery we shall never solve!

http://www.thedailybeast.com/blogs-...stery-woman-in-the-situation-room-with-obama/
There are trace details floating around the Internet about Tomason; trying to figure out who she is has become a sort of Web parlor game She is said to have gone to Tufts University and earned her masters at Harvard's Kennedy School. (Harvard and Tufts did not immediately respond to inquiries but we'll update the story as soon as we hear back.) One corner of the Internet suggests she is 34, but the number couldn't be confirmed. She also didn't appear to be active on any major social networks. When the Beast tried to reach her Tuesday afternoon at her office, no one answered the phone.

:awe:
He's doing research by googling this woman's name. That's awesome. I found this article by googling her name...
