CMS software for a learning site?

I'm working with someone on a study site for AP tests. Well, we would like certain things, but we can't seem to find them in the same package. We're trying to find the following:

* File Management (Public/Private) mainly for word files
* Quiz support
* Forums
* Announcements


Any one have any ideas?

Alot of universities use WebCT, it has those features and more - but im sure it costs an arm and a leg.

If you spend more time studying and less time building web sites, you'll do better on the AP tests 😛

And WebCT really isn't that great.

WebCT and Blackboard are the two main LMSes (Learning Management Systems) in the academic space.

Oh, well the main thing I forgot (of course) is it has to be free or low cost. This is being done by students for students.
