CMOS settings will not save when using certain hard drives.

when i try to save the CMOS settings with a western digital or fujitsu hard connected to my motherboard it wont save the settings. but if i use a maxtor, seagate or quantum hard drive or no hard drive at all, its saves the settings without any problems. has anybody encountered a similar problem, if so, did you ever find a solution? thanks.

Alot of it depends on whether or not your bios supports the size of the drives. If the ones that wont save are larger than the ones that do, I would guess that you need to upgrade your bios.

thanks for the help. ive tried 20gig hard drive and they work fine. for some reason some hard drives wont let me save the bios settings.
