I have a Giga-byte GA-7NNXP and I have a CMOS error, how do I correct this problem? I was thinking about taking the battery out and starting the computer without the battery in and then replacing it later. Would that work???

Don't start it without the battery. Try reseting the bios with the jumper if you have one, I'm not sure with your board. If not, just take out the battery for 10 minutes or so, then replace it and try starting it up.

Make sure you either unplug the power cord or turn off the power switch if you have one. An ATX power supply keeps power on the memory circuits even if the battery is pulled and the solder points or jumper shorted.

Are you referring to a "cmos checksum fail" error?

If so, in my experience, if you just go into cmos and hit save changes and exit (not actually making any changes) it will work fine.

There is one other problem, and that is that my keyboard is not working. It more or less feezes up right then. I have tried other keyboards, same problem. I have tried hitting delete constantly from turning on the computer and again I have the same problem. Any ideas?

The computer was working before I tried to over clock it. In fact it was running perfactly stable before then.
