On my secondary computer system, I've been having some problems with the cmos battery. I think its causing the system to have some problems, so I was wondering if anyone could suggest anywhere to get a replacement (I have no clue if these are sold in regular stores or not). Also is there anything in paticular I need to do when taking out the old one?, just wondering. It says its running low (the cmos battery) when I boot up and the hard drive is acting sort of strange. If I fix this, I think windows will end up loading like before. Anyways if someone can point me in the right direction that would be great. Thanks.

They are usually standard button batteries that you can pick up at Radioshack, Staples. Wal-Mart, etc. It should have a nuumber on the battery. I think most mobos have been using CR2032 for a while...

Edit: sorry just read the rest of your post, the battery will not cause any kind of loading problems. A bad CMOS battery will usually only make your mobo forget it's BIOS settings.

if you have an unused Dreamcast laying around, they use the same batteries as the VMU
