Hey all,
Im trying to fix a sony vaio vgn-fe660g laptop for a friend. His cmos battery is dying. Most laptops use the basic coin 3v batteries..right. Well, i've been hearing that sony uses sometimes a special battery called a ram battery.. I've looked everywhere for a service manual to find what exactly it has. I've had no luck in finding one. I also heard that sony support are A-holes for customer service and wont help unless u ship it in to be repaired..lol anyhow,..if it does use a coin 3v battery can i just use a generic version or does it have to be a special sony kind??
any ideas would help..thanks..
