CMOS battery dying once in every two years?

What could be the cause? I dont remember what brand I bought back then but could it be a cheap battery issue or is there anything else important I'm overlooking? Some wrong jumper setting draining the battery faster?

Are you turning off the line power to the PC? As long as it has power, it shouldn't be draining. I typically see CMOS batteries last 5-7 years.
