For the past three weeks my bios would reset itself to default settings whenever i would power off my power supply and turn it back on, and then turn on my computer.

Of course whenever i take my computer to lan parties, i turn off my power supply, go to my friends house, plug in the power cord, and turn the power back on. But once i turn the computer on and go to the bios, everything is reverted to default settings.

Could this be a problem with the cmos battery?

My motherboards bios is up to date, but i do not know why this has been happening.

My motherboard is a DFI Lanparty LT X48 T2R.

Thanks.

it coudl be, though thats a pretty recent board, usually those batteries do not die that quickly. i would try a different battery, and if that doesnt work maybe its some problem where the battery is not powering the onboard nvram anymore.
