CM V8 install on Asus M4A79XTD EVO

On the CM V8's installation on a 79XTD EVO, do you have to remove the black plastic surrounds (located on the board) around the cpu to use the included AM3 mounts?

Just want to make sure as the diagram on the instruction sheet is a little ambigous.

I'm Getting My V8 Soon And I'm Interested In Finding Out Too Please Post Updates On What You Did I'll Comment As Soon As Mine Gets Here

I believe the V8 has its own backplate, like the Hyper 212+. In that case, you have to remove the existing black plastic and backplate, and replace it with the backplate and other mounting paraphernalia that came with the V8.

EDIT: Just saw this. It is just like the Hyper 212 installation.
