I'm actually not completely sure if this is a hardware or software problem, but my keyboard is acting odd.
Anyways, I have the CM Storm Quick Fire Pro keyboard, and it suddenly is deciding to malfunction all the time. A message will pop up in the taskbar saying the device is not recognized, and that it has malfunctioned.
If I go to the device manager, under the USB controllers, the keyboard is shown as an unknown device.
Things I've tried:
Uninstalled everything in the USB controllers in the device manager
Unplugged my PC from the wall to allow the mobo to stop receiving power and shutdown. Temporarily fixed it the first time, didn't fix it this second time.
Had the USB cable that goes from the keyboard to my PC replaced by Coolermaster, this seemed to temporarily fix it, however it just returned after about 2 weeks. This is what makes me think it COULD be a hardware problem?
Things that make it malfunction:
Moving the keyboard around. This is super weird to me because I just had the cord replaced, and I'm assuming my keyboard is receiving power still.
