CM Hyper 212 Plus Fan Options?

Hey guys. One of our helpful users turned me onto the CM Hyper 212 Plus as a heatsink option that wouldn't block my ram slots.

That being said, i've never really bought fans for a heatsink before. Obviously i would want 2 matching fans, i would like blue LED's since the rest of my case has them, i would like to stay consistent.

I guess my question is out of the experienced users, are there any fan models that are just known for being good quality, relatively quiet, etc.

Other offhand questions, are ball bearing fans always superior to sleeve or rifle bearing fans?

Should i shoot for maximum airflow or is there a point where i start getting diminishing returns etc.

Thanks for all the help guys.

I can't think of any blue LED fan that was ever any good.

What's the best 120mm case fan?
Scythe Gentle Typhoon D1225 C12B4AP-14
You can even consider the AP-15 version which is probably the best fan out right now (check youtube videos below).

11 Super Cooler Fans
SilverStone FM123

Ultimate 120/140 mm Fans Roundup
Scythe Gentle Typhoon B5AP-15 (awesome balance of airflow/noise), Scythe Ultra Kaze 2000 (performance), Scythe S-Flex SSFF21E (midrange), Nexus Basic (super quiet) stand out

Also, Yate Loons D12SL-12 or DS12SM-12 for better performance. Honourable mention SanAceH1011.

Then just secure Logisys 5 LED Lazer Light $5 to shine right at the Heatsink and you'll have a Blue Heatsink setup with awesome fans 🙂

GentleTyphoonAP15 rocks!

Pushing through a heatsink, you'd want static pressure more than CFM. 38mm deep fans > 25mm deep fans for this. Thus I recommend Panaflos or the Sanyo Denki San Ace H101 or H1011.

Just read more, you want blue LED? Get these then: http://www.petrastechshop.com/12yalod1blle.html

Yate Loon is one of the best fan manufacturers out there, and they have the best prices. Ball bearing, rifle, etc. I don't pay attention to that, I just look at what people think of each fan individually. Those things are more important if you really need longevity like a server fan or something.

Btw, as long as blue LED is a requirement you will be limited performance wise... hope that is not an issue. As long as you don't plan on overclocking high then you'll be fine with two of those Yates in push/pull.

Yeah, i would *like* to have blue leds, but if thats not possible with good performance, i'll deal without. When push comes to shove, performance > aesthetics.

Thanks for all the headsup guys, i definitely have a bit of research to do ;-).

I use only Blue led Cooler master fans. I have never had any uissues with them. They are very quiet.
