CM Hyper 212 EVO

What's everyone's take on the pressure the mounting bracket puts on the CPU socket? I can turn it around (only a few milimeters of course) with some force, which I take for rather normal (my other coolers in past behaved the same or similar), but I am a bit unsure about the performance.

I have the new Noctua fan mounted on it, spinning at roughly 1100RPM. My CPU is 3770K with some 1.1Vcore, and reported temperatures across the cores are in 80's range, going up to 86°C under full load. This is with closed case on relatively cool day.
The heatsink under these conditions is hardly hot, more like slightly warm only. If I open the case, temperatures drop in 75-80°C range, and the sink is pretty much cool.
It's pretty weird, and I still believe I have shitty-"packaged" CPU, but the possibility of bad cooler is always there. So question to other owners, how does it perform for you?

I'm kind of in the same boat... I think my 2500K is just a hot chip. I've tried everything reasonable to cool it with my 212+, including dual fans, duct tape to form a shroud (to improve cooling efficiency,) 3 different kinds of TIM... none of it really makes a huge difference...

The biggest change I saw in CPU temps was reducing core voltage.

I was very pleased with mine, of course I am "just" running a Sandy Bridge. I am using the stock fan, although I did tell the BIOS to increase fan speed a bit more aggressively. When I got the chip/Hyper 212 EVO, I did some overclocking. Core 2 (the hottest one) was hitting 56 under load stock, and 80 at the highest overclock, 4.9 GHz, maxing out at 1.48 volts. Right now I just have her running 4.0, 58 degrees and 1.3 volts max. Great cooler.
