My son and I did this on the M3 last night. Took out the driver seat, cowling under the dash, and then replaced the bushings. Looked complicated, but after watching a youtube video, it wasn't.
OMG. The difference is night and day. I replaced the stock bushings with some delrin ones and greased everything up like crazy. The end result is the clutch is easier to press, it doesn't grab on the pivot shaft like it used to, and the car is absolutely fun to drive again. Funny how a couple small bushings can make all the difference in the world. Took us about 70 minutes from start to finish which included removing the seat and putting everything back in.
