I'm invading your country again. This time I'm going to check out Clutch at Headliner's in Toledo. Apparently a relatively small venue. Never been to Toledo...maybe drove through, but I can't think of when or why. There are 4 of us going, we might hit up a local bar for some grub and pregame drinks. Suggestions near venue are greatly appreciated.

Anyone else going to this show? It'll be my first time seeing Clutch.

Clutch is one band that I've wanted to see (has to be a small bar) that I never got around to. Had one chance a few years ago at a hole in the wall in Cedar Rapids, IA but friends flaked out and I didn't want to by myself.

Should be a good time and have a beer for me :)

I've seen Clutch 100 times since 1991.Hung out with them dozens of times too.
Quite honestly they have gotten worse and worse along the way. It used to be good, hardcore punk/rock. Now its evolved into a 2hr stoner-rock jam session on stage.

That being said, I still love them. :)
have a great time.

My daughter wants to see them (I live in the area). I might take her.

BTW- Last time I was there it turns out a buddy of mine from grade school owns the place :) Free food for me! heheh

yeah... they owned. what a show. they opened up for themselves as their alter-ego, the Bakerton Group... they sounded tight right from the get-go. The Bakerton stuff is very sweet, I'm going to try to find one of their CDs... the opening acts were excellent too, Never Been Caught (i met the drummer and bought their CD afterwards) and Lionize...

The Clutch set went from 10:35 until 12:20 or so including a 3-song acoustic encore... what stamina these guys have... literally amazing. Pretty sure they're all Terminators. They rocked... if you get a chance to see them on this tour, do it. The setlist was fucking awesome... They even played Profits of Doom and Cypress Grove, my favourite 2 jams from Blast Tyrant... basically everything they played sounded perfect though...

The venue was decent.. there was a small pit for some of the harder tunes but nothing crazy. If I was from Toledo, I'd go there once in a while to see that hot waitress with the tramp stamp... dayummmmm son 0_0

Clutch rules... what a show... go see them NAO
