Clutch Delay Valve on BMWs

Did you have it taken out or replaced with a drilled out one? Did it make any difference?

FWIW, I remove them on DSMs.

I replaced the CDV on my E39 540I 6 spd with a drilled CDV from Zechhausen. It made a world of difference. The clutch became much more reponsive and smooth with better control and you won't jerk in 1st and 2nd gear. With CDV remove you clutch will last longer too. Also remember the CDV didn't exist on the E39 M5. More info.

lol BMW forums more or less have the same replies :D

I just wanted to know if its worth the trouble of replacing that thing. Some say it was and some say it wasn't.
