Anyone sucessfully done this? Where can i get more information regarding thisproject? I know there's a thing called
beowulf, but that's for linux.

Basic clustering for load balancing and fault tolerant.
 
I don't know about software, but you could get a hardware load-balancing switch. It'll do round robin load balancing which isn't great, but better than nothing.
