Clueless!?? -- Please help with cpu fan

Well, I am getting a 1.33ghz TBird and a MSI k7 master board. I need help with my fan options. I dont know exactly what to get...i am a nebie at this type of thing. Also, are there any good tips on connected the fan to the cpu using the Artic II compound. Thanks for the help.

Thermaltake products are very successful. The Super-Orb and Mini-Super-Orb in particular. Be careful, if you are using a motherboard with a lot of capacitors around the CPU socket, the Super-Orb may not fit (ie KTA7A-RAID). I also read a review recently that suggested that the Volcano II may even be better than the Super or Mini-Super. Plus, it fits on a KT7A 🙂.

The new Vantec cooler from coldcpu.com probably has the best clipping mechanism out there. This will ensure no chipped cores or broken motherboard clips. I have installed five of these and every one of them has performed flawlessly. Hope this helps. I believe they are $20 dollars each w/ a very LOUD Delta Fan(7000 rpm).

Well, I dont really want a super loud fan but if thats what is takes. What is the deal with the Artic II stuff and how is it applied?

how is the Taisol CGK760092? i have heard alot of discussion on it lately.
