meh, w00t.com has the Seagate 250 GB SATA drive for 55 bucks right now.

But Seagate 250 GB SATA only 7200RPM is slow.

You're the kind of guy that would buy the Raptor X...the one with the pexiglass top...because OMGWTFBBQCLEAR IS TEH FASTAR!

And spend oodles of money on it, too. Do you really have a need for an eleventy-billion RPM HD?

For storage I agree with you, but for a main hard drive a lot of people don't need 400gb of storage for Windows. That, and a 10,000rpm drive will "feel snappier" than 2x200gb drives simply because of it's latency. Granted, the difference is about 1% on a good day, but for some people who want ultimate bragging rights...

WD 80GB is suck!!
Read this...

Strengths: low price
Weaknesses: MTBF: 1 week!! Extremely unreliable!!! Do a search on: "Western Digital unreliable" to see what the forum feedback has been on WD drives.
Summary: I purchased a WD80BB HDD two weeks ago and placed it into an external USB drive enclosure.
