As far as i know z2760 is limited to 2gb RAM support and tablets will be delivered via 2gb of ram. So i wonder, if this 2gb support is some kinda hw limited issue where os can adress up to just 2 gb and never let use more of under any circumstance cuz of hw underlying it? Or if there may be some workarounds to use more than this announced 2 gb of ram?
Some of you may be familiar with programs that allow you to map/use the unused ram that is beyond 4gb with 32 bit Windows (especially cache like programs).
Say, you have 8 gigs of ram under a 32 bit Windows, you cant use half of it. Yet you can use the unmapped 4gb of it via some disk cache programs, where you have 4 gb of ram for Windows and other programs, 4gb of ram for disk cache (ofc i know this kind of usage is non-ideal).
So i wonder, if this kind of usage is possible for some Atom chips.
