Clothing stores are stupid...

So.. it's November 14 in Florida.. Been shopping for some 'warm' clothes for the past few weeks..

Almost all T-shirts are gone. Shorts are gone. Tank-tops and other light wear is gone.

Jeans everywhere.. even inner-lined jeans.. Huge heavy $250 jackets are all over the place. There are turtlenecks, sweatshirts, long-sleeve shirts.. Almost every shirt is long sleeve.

Then.. Sports Authority.. about 1/4 of the clothing area was dedicated to skiing!!! WTF.. Where the hell am I gonna go skiing in Florida? Also, they had tons of inner-lining shirts and pants.. and other than work-out clothes, almost everything was long sleeve..

Geez..

I think the typical Floridian wears long-sleeve shirts maybe four weeks out of the year, a light jacket maybe 4-8 weeks (usually thrown over a T-shirt).. a heavy jacket once or twice..

When we see clothing retailers post crappy numbers again this year for Christmas, you guys know why.. At least 80% of the winter inventory in Florida won't even get looked at by a customer..

I think I'm gonna go buy a trenchcoat and some snowpants... oh wait.. it's 75 degrees F out at 6 in the evening!
