edit 1 this is for shirts btw
i wear a boys xl (18/20) right now. What is it equivalent to in the mens clothing sizes? (slightly small or bigger does not matter though)

btw, im trying to buy on amazon yet not sure what size to buy as they only have boys large (14-16). I wear boys xl 18-20 right now so im trying to figer out which size in the mens is that..

It's more related to height than anything else.

A boy's large would not fit a 5' 8 to 6 ft tall man.... but a men's 34-36 could, depending on the length listed.

If you are talking of Men's sizes, the first number is waist size, the second is leg length (for example: 30x32 = 30 inch waist, 32 inch leg). For boys sizes, the 18/20 is just a size number and I don't believe it is anything significant in the actual measurements of the clothing.
