I have Win2K Pro and am using Norton Personal Firewall. I ran a test at grc.com and it found that my port 79 is OPEN! WTH? ALl my other ports are stealthed, but port 79 is open. How do i close it?

thx

You should know that Gibson probes some major ports, but not all of the ports (there is 65536
of them).

Norton Firewall has a setting that allows you to block (or define rules) for each port. Block port79 and see what happens. If nothing occurs leave it blocked.

If an Internet related application stop working, open the port, if it working again then you know which application is using port 79.

Where are some of the best sites to scan my ports at?
