I've got IE 5.0 SP2 running on a 1.2GHz with 512MB RAM on a dial-up connection (still waiting for broadband 
). Everything is dandy, except when I close a window in IE, my system pauses/hiccups for about 2 seconds or so. It's kind of annoying because if I'm listening to music or doing something else, it pauses. And if I'm doing some CPU-intensive stuff, then the pause/hiccup takes a lot longer. I've done some web searching to try to resolve this, but to no avail. So now I'm tossing the question out to you guys. Anybody know what's going on and, more importantly, how to fix this?
