What would you choose for bedroom closet doors? Four sliding mirror doors or four bi-fold white wooden doors?

'Folding' and 'sliding' are the same thing.

As in, they're both doors on a track. And both of their inventors should be stabbed in the face.

Hell if I care if my door is 'tacky' or not. I just want it to not fall on me when I try to open it.

Its common sense that bifold is the superior design. Slide only allows access to half the closet at once.

Mirror makes sense for the lazy single male with a utilitarian bedroom, who is generally not going to hang a dedicated mirror anywhere else. Add to that a possible lack of a full mirror in the bathroom, and meh, it's functional.

Tacky? Go use your queer-eye to ogle some men and leave me alone.

Its common sense that bifold is the superior design. Slide only allows access to half the closet at once.

Slides are the downfall of both designs. But the one that is dependent on a single, poorly-designed screw to hold the whole damn door up...bah.

Maybe some ATOT-level solid mahagony folding castle doors are designed with better rails/mounts.

I would not have mirrored doors with children in the house, unless the mirrors were of shatterproof material, since I know of a tragedy of the worst kind caused by a sliding glass door.

Some people have very small bedrooms, and sliding doors allow placing the bed closer to the closet.

Mirror door for the boom chica wow wow.

God damn you and your brilliant posts!

But yeah, unless you have mirror ceiling, for mirror doors. Sexy times without mirror just isn't right!

Minor threadcap: I have sliders on two closests and am interested in swapping them out. These are fairly large openings, what type of replacement would work in them?

Care to elaborate? I'm trying to picture a possible scenario, but I never heard of any risks that have to do with sliding mirror doors. The only thing I can think of is out of a James Bond movie, The Living Daylights, where a man was killed by a remote control sliding glass door programmed to slam shut as he walked through.

You could do a french door setup. Might be a bit of a pain, but it will get rid of the sliders.

Next time I'm in the store I'll need to look to see what they carry, don't recall seeing interior ones before.
