CLOSEST I CAME TO AN ACCIDENT!

Today I was driving on a 4 lane road. Two going forward, two coming towards my direction.. anyways..
I was in the inner lane.. just driving normal speed...

I noticed a Civic was trying to turn in from a side road... whatevers right? My right of way.. .driving normally..
The Civic came into my lane right when I came in front of the Civic. I braked the hardest I have ever braked.. and swerved to the left to dodge the car... REALLY F**KING CLOSE! It was some 16 yr old caucasian bitch... (AND NO! SHE WAS NOT CUTE, since I know people are going to ask). I CAN"T BELIEVE MY BABY WAS ABOUT TO BE HIT HARD TODAY... Just thinking about it makes me wanna ..>RHHRHG I don't even know the word.. It's not "cry"..

Anyways, I was surprised how pissed I was... honked a couple of times, drove up next to her and try to yell at her through the window... she ignored and drove faster.. I went behind her and high beamed her like mad.. until she made a right. I know this was wrong.. but it got me pissed off that she didn't even seem to care... and I had to tell her to never do that again!

Damn KIDS! But ... wait a minute.. I'm a kid too.. SO.. DAMN BAD DRIVERS!

Someone needs to take some anger managment classes. That sounds like typical road rage behavior. How would any of your actions change what happened. They wouldn't. What do you thinks she thought having some wacko chase hear down, yell at hear and flash their headlights at her.

You go on to say she didn't care. Perhaps she was trying not to be confrontational and create more rage in you.

Now that you will be pissed at me, I will leave the thread to avoid your wrath.

It was exactly what I hoped for. You need to look at things from both sides.

Sure there are carless drivers not paying attention, talking on car phones, fumbling with the radio, eating putting on make-up, shaving, etc. But there is nothing you can do about it. You just need to drive defensely and always assume that the other driver may do the unexpected.

From the description it sounds like that is exactly what occured, Kenji4861 avoided an accident by driving defensely.

If you have been in or know someone who has been in an accident you will find that you could care less about the damage to the car. You will be more concerned about the welfare of the occupants. Cars can always be replaced.

My brother rolled a relatively new Trans Am when someone cut him off on the interstate (he spent about 3 months in the hospital), and a cousin was killed by a drunk driver. So if you find that you have avoided an accident count yourself lucky.

So, yes I am happy that Kenji4861 is at least giving it some thought.
