So the last three times I was at three different Brookstone stores in Chicago, they had somce very nice Casio watches on sale, including Gshock and Pathfinder. It's my understanding that they will no longer sell watches anymore and are getting rid of their inventory. The one I got was a Casio Pathfinder PAT-40, with digital compass, barometer, thermometer, altimeter, and Indiglo. It's very techie, and it rocks... Retail was 249. They had it for 119. When I inquired about it, the guy volunterrily bumped it down further to 75$.
After tax and a 50$ Brookstone certificate for test driving a POS Chrysler, I paid 31 bucks... It appears to be the latest model as well, though it didn't have a manual.

Other models are available. One Gshock model with thermo would be free after certificate. Use it if you have it, quantities limited.
BTW I highly suggest it if you're itching to use the certificate, as Brookstone doesn't sell anything useful, unless you really need a generic fugly green cake slicer that plays happy birthday.
