Well, I just got my spanking-new E4300 (up from an A64 3400+) and it's obviously a huge difference from what I had. However, I haven't seen anyone with as low a score as I have. The highest I can hit is 1085 (like 271, I believe). I've heard folks say that you have to get over a certain hump before it starts working again, so I tried 1200 and 1300 and it won't even post. I'm at a 9x multiplier with a .15V bump on vCore and a bump on the north and south bridge voltage. I have my RAM unlinked at 800 (OCZ Gold DDR800). The board is here:

Anybody?

Many thanks,

if you know someone with a E6300, you should just test out the OC potential on the E6300.
try bumping the vFSB and vMCH/NB/MCP +0.1 and bumping up the vCore to +0.2. Try putting a fan on the NB cooler.
that's all i can really suggest. I don't know that much about MSI boards or the 650i chipset. I have the 680i and i can hit 470 on an 8x multiplier on my E6400.
It could also just be the chip itself. Some chips just can't OC very well.

Well, you were darn close.

I found a thread here that details some of the specifics on this board. Turns out there were a few power-saving settings enabled that were to blame. Sitting at a steady 3.0GHz right now and load temp was only 37C.

Thanks, guys!

What temperatures do you get with Intel TAT after 15 min at 100% CPU load?
