<<the thing that outrages me the most is when I was collecting Social Security under my dads name in the amount of $950 bucks a month, every month ever since i was 12. Fast Forward today. i'm now 18 and that was 6 years ago. That equals rougly $68,400 i'm suppose to be saved up in my name.>>

Your Mother wasn't married to your Father???

<< Yes i know i sound like a spoiled brat that throws a fit when he doesn't get what he wants, but i just want a explanation on where did the $68,400 went. >>

anyways, you're 18, do what you please. I doubt if you'll ever see a penny of that money though, especially if you get mad and treat her like crap.....

mmm sounds fishy about the money. but I am sure you ahave some right to check on where it went. If it was to suppose to go to you legaly(it should now be), then i would inquire about it on your own.

Do you work? I know it's a stupid question, but I had to work very hard for my money and in a simple second, it is all gone. Where does it all go!??!?!?! Beats the crap out of me though...

I got into a car accident not too long ago too...and yea My car was an integra :) but the insurance only gave me 7500 which half of it paid for doctor and lawyer, so i got back about 3700 back and it was quickly spent also :( oh wellz, life's a bitch, what can we do bout it? Tell your mom that you're just going to get the car and fix it up so that it doesn't look messy :) (clean up the engine and stuff) hehehhhe but really change the engine....like i did to my integra :) (shhhhhh)

Not necessarily.

as far as what we know, which is what he's told us, it is:

Now, did the $11000 from the insurance claim go to you or to your mother? Whose name was the car in? And if all else fails, try and reason with your mother. Make her see why what you propose is a good thing. gl :)

I'm assuming you're Filipino...not that it matters but it does to some people since they are a little old-fashioned...i know it bugs me. I didn't see isht when i crashed my car. They just fixed it and gave it back to me. Which really sucks. You're lucky you're even getting another car. I guess you really want a sileighty...:)

your right i will never see a penny because i don't know where any/all of it went.

<< how do you collect social security in your dad's name? >>

A money check comes in the mail address to my mom, but says "FOR" then my name, & my sisters name. If your asking how i got social security, i think my dad filed for disablity because he had a very bad heart problem. which killed him at the end.

Before your 18 you OWN NOTHING. Bottom line.

But your mom is probably spending it on expensive chocolates and male escorts.

I'm sure the Social Security money went to mortgage, bills, clothes, etc....
He can collect the social security because his father passed away and it's a death benefit (nice that you have to die to get a "benefit") payable to family.

You mom's probably already spent the money which is why she's telling you not to do the engine swap.

*Edit - Just read his post above. The SS money is for your mother to care for you and your sister, not for your own personal bank account. Don't even ask about that money, I'm sure it's gone on the things I mentioned above.

Good gawd, GROW the fvck UP! That money went to feed you, clothe you, pay for education and/or education materials. Health care. Video games, birthday presents, xmas presents, insurance, housing... you name it, she had to pay for it.

The SS check she gets is to take care of you. Not to give you to blow on silly boy-racer cars. That money is NOT yours. It's her's to take care of YOU.

Your mother has taken care of you all your life. That costs a LOT of money. How dare you act as if she owes you something! :|

My kids will not be bought cars by me, they can get a job and make the payments themselves. I don't want to end up with a spoiled brat like you.

It was a check written to my mom when they closed the setellment since the car was underneath her name.

Yea you hit the bulls eye, i am filipino. My mom is old fashion buy not to the extent where she thinks theres no use for coldless phones or cell phones. Yea i decked out my integra like there was no tommrow. sad thing is, i see no money from it, because insurance told my mom it doesn't add value to the car. I explained to her, the insurance is writing of a stock car, if i sold it in the local paper, i would have gotten some value with the parts i put on it. Yea i know i should be greatful that i am getting another car, but it bugs me and iritates me that she can give me the run around like this. COrrect, i do really want a Sil-Eighty. Thats why i want my friends 240sx.

It sounds like the money went to pay the bills. It's not like your dad left it all to you to spend on cars and girls. This money sounds like it's supposed to pay for your food, room and board -- how else would your mother be able to afford having a place to live and food to feed you guys after your father died?

your mom probably wants to give you what you need. you dont *need* an engine swap.. she'd probably be happier if you got a new car with no mods, even if it was more expensive.
