Number of branches you can go to nationwide for ATMs? Do you at your CU get charged a fee if you use other banks' ATMs?

Do they all have online check deposit via apps?

Convenience is big for me.

1. i dont care

Wells Fargo Killing Sham Account Suits by Using Arbitration

In congressional hearing rooms and on national television, Wells Fargo has vowed to make things right for the thousands of customers who were given sham accounts.

The bank’s new chief executive, Timothy J. Sloan, in his first week on the job, said his “immediate and highest priority is to restore trust in Wells Fargo.”

But in federal and state courtrooms across the country, Wells Fargo is taking a different tack.

The bank has sought to kill lawsuits that its customers have filed over the creation of as many as two million sham accounts by moving the cases into private arbitration — a secretive legal process that often favors corporations.

Lawyers for the bank’s customers say the legal motions are an attempt to limit the bank’s accountability for the widespread fraud and deny its customers their day in open court.

They never opened any accounts in my name without my knowledge, but I got a check from them today anyway. The letter said they might have incorrectly evaluated income information on our application for a credit card 2 or more years ago and take this money for any inconvenience it might have caused. We've only applied for one of their credit cards because it provided free cell phone insurance as long as we paid our cell phone bill with that card, and that's the only thing we ever charge on it, but I'll happily take the money if they feel that bad about it. :)

I despise binding arbitration especially since the consumer really doesn't have a choice. In this case I find it particularly troublesome that Wells is using the arbitration clause associated with accounts the customer "agreed" to limit their legal options on accounts that were fraudulently opened and the customer never agreed to an arbitration clause for. In instances like this the arbitration clause should be limited to only those accounts where customers specifically agreed to it. It shouldn't be a get out of jail pretty much for free card for Wells on the fraudulently opened accounts since no customer agreement ever occurred.

I left Wells LONG AGO when one day at the drive-thru the teller insisted he open another account on my behalf to use ONLY for online transactions.
"You wouldn't want anyone to have access to your main account" he reasoned for opening an account only to be used for online purchases.
I said not interested.
I figured something was a bit off, so a few weeks later I moved everything including the mortgage to another bank.
Actually, to a bank and a credit union.

You refi-ed your house because of that?

Looks like I was right. Ridiculous sales goals, extreme pressure from managers and a blind eye to unethical conduct.
You forgot a hideous work environment for employees to meet sales goals. I used to get an occasional call to rate the teller at my last transaction on a five point scale but no box to check fuck you to the person asking. It's a wonder business isn't robbed blind by their employees as a form of thank you for your kind treatment. Capitalism makes for shitty people as well as a fantastic charade that business loves you. How can I make your day better..... Allow me to throw up in your face. That will make my day.
