I will never buy the excuse that people are backing up their DVDs unless DVD in question is of the Spongebob or Disney variety.

I couldn't care less if you think I'm stealing movies, but for what it's worth...

When I buy DVD's now, I copy them before I take them to my storage unit. No more room in the apartment. If it's a 2 disc deal like Ray, then I bring it here and just try to find more room for it.
Oh yeah, my cat loves the camera.

Brave man. I would never admit that I bought either 50 First dates or Duece Bigalow.

Stop. Stop with the lies and the deceit. Just because you own some originals doesn't mean you're not queuing up everything you can at netflix and making your own little movie "backup" studio in your house.
And if you are "backing up" normal DVDs that only adults use (ie. not disney ones that your kids fling around the house), find something better to do with your time; DVDs do not need to be backed up. They are robust.
The twice a year I buy a CD i do the same thing, but only because CDs are antiques, and I listen to everything in MP3 format. Plus, I listen to an album more than I watch the same movie, and I like to fling cds around my car, so they do actually scratch up badly.I burn copies of all my CDs so I don't lose or scratch the originals. I take my copies in my CD Case, and leave the originals in the jewel cases at home.
95%+ of my rentals have been flawless, but obviously people don't give a crap about things they don't own, plus most people asininely put cds/dvds with the face up. If you own your own there is NO reason they will ever lose quality, no matter how much you use them.I have rented so many DVDs from blockbuster and the sort, and I can say at least 3/5 of them skipped like crazy several times during the movie

Yes they are. I wans't condemning the guy's actions, just his 99% probability of lying to us. Maybe he wasn't in which case I am sorryskoord, do you ever speed while running late for work? i'm not trying to flame you but no one is perfect. burning dvd's from netflix is the same as not buckling up, speeding, throwing your cig's out the window. they are all illegal.

Anyway, in regards to speeding I tend to avoid admitting culpability in crimes on the internet![]()
