Cloning Win 7 & boot menu to SSD?

My current boot drive has three partitions, Win Xp boot, Win 7 Boot, and storage. Win 7 boot menu allows me to select OS.

I have an SSD incoming, and would like to make it the boot drive, and clone the Win7 partition over to it. Will this work?

Will there be problems cloning Win 7 over? What tool should I use?
Will I be able to boot to Windows XP if it's not on the drive defined as "c:"?

Anything else I forgot to ask?

Have you had an expirience with Acronis? I hear that's fairly easy to work with, but haven't used it personally. You shouldn't have any issues keeping the OSes on separate drives since Windows detects drive letters, and a drive should look just like a partition.

What SDD did you get? I'm kinda jealous since I'm just itching to pull the trigger on one. :awe:

Not the fastest, but the concensus is, in day-to-day usage, you won't notice the difference between this a faster SSD.

Are there free versions of Acronic available from Seagate?

If you own Seagate or WD drives, head to their support pages, there they do have free versions of Acronis for owners of their drives.
