Cloning software for Vista Home

Can anyone recommend a free cloning (imaging) program for Windows Vista Home Premium?

Windows Vista does not have the Windows 7 feature. Is there a free cloning program out there that is not a free trial?

people here seem to like Macrium Reflect

Or depending on what your end result you want is, you could use the free version of acronis that you can download from Seagate/WD if you just want Drive to Drive Clone.

I just used Macrium Reflect to recover from a HDD backup clone. It worked when the native SSD mfg software did not.

This isn't the first time I used Reflect successfully, and with crossed fingers I have not yet encountered a failure. Of course, YMMV.

And, if you always clone using bootable media, it really doesn'tmatter what OS you are using. Macrium Reflect and Clonezilla both have the capability to produce bootable media.

When I get a new computer which is often used. I buy the largest Seagate hard drive that I can find. I download their DiscWizard Software (includes Acronis True Image) for free. I then use USB to clone the older hard drive to the large new one.

I package the old hard drive up and use it as a backup. I can have my computer return to the original install in less than an hour.
