I've got a fairly new laptop with 2nd gen SB cpu and ssd but I needed to call MS and get help (which they gave surprisingly) converting an upgrade version of win7pro to a full version,I originally had a reg version Vista hense the upgrade w7p anyway I got the right person and he walked me thru and now it's a full version on the LT.
Now, I'm in the process of piecing togeather a new desktop build and would like to clone the LT ssd os to the new system ssd but what with all new hardware I'm sure to have issues correct? MS made sure the conversion worked so had me verify it online and it worked..this being the case, could my upgrade serial number now be considered a full version at MS?

Get the Acronis TrueImage application with the Plu ad-on.

Back up and image of the SSD of the LT to an external drive.

Use a Boot CD of Trueimage to recover the original SSD to the new one using the plus option. This option take care of the problems that might occur when recovering to a new HD/SSD that is installed on different type of hardware.

If you do not have multiple install for the the Win Pro you will have to buy an additional Lic. key.

Thanks Jack,,I'll look at Acronis since I think they also have a trail version as my older version does not have this capability and can't be updated, I actually switched to a cloud backup.
