Clonezilla Not Working

As a regular user of Clonezilla, I was surprised when I went to use it to clone an SSD that it did not work. It boots the computer from CD, I get to the Clonezilla Live menu and go with the "Save to RAM" option. It shows a couple statements the program is loading, says "OK" and then stops, nothing but a black screen.
It is the latest version, 1.2.12-67. I'm using Windows 7 Pro 64 bit, nothing fancy. It worked with my XP Pro/Ubuntu dual boot system, no problem, the Clonezilla website says it works with Win7, so I'm wondering what the deal is. The only thing that is non standard about my rig is that there is a minor overclock via the BIOS, a minimal OC, wondering if that may have something to do with it.

Could be. I would check and see if a third party controller(Marvell or JMicron) is enabled on your board and try disabling it.

try burning a new CD?
Yeah, tried that, don't think that's it. Clonezilla boots the computer and displays the menu, so I'm pretty sure the CD is viable.

Didn't think of that, but my optical disc burner/player is connected to a Marvell controller. The reason that is because it doesn't work very well with my SSD, so the SSD and all the other hard drives, save one storage drive(along with the optical disc unit) are connected to the mobo Intel chip.
I'll run the DVD RW on the other SATA controller and see if it works.
