CloneCD Problem with Plextor 24/10/40A burner

Hi there,
a friend of mine has a Plextor 24/10/40A burner, and when he tries to burn a CD, it burns about 2%, and then it jumps to 100% and says, that it didn't work. He doesn't have a problem in Nero or any other burning software. What could the problem be? It's for backup of course It's a Gigabyte 7DX(AMD761 chipset, DDR mobo) with a Tbird 1.2GHz.

Any ideas?

Hmmm. I have that exact burner (24/10/40 bios rev. 1.02) withe CloneCD 3.1.1.0. and the combo works great!!

There are compatibility problems with CloneCD and the 'Plextor Manager' software that comes with the retail drive.

If your friend has the Plex Manager software installed I'd recommend un-installing it and testing clone again.

CloneCD is far superior cd copying software anyway.
