This app sucks cows a$$.

Here is why.

When I initiate the encoding, depending on the file, it either stops encoding at 3% or 10% or 40% or 55% or 91%. It varies. For example, if I take a 4 minute clip of high def (MPEG2-TS) encoding stops at say.. 3 minutes and 39 sec. Some of them stops soon after encoding starts, like at 2%. When I playback the files they only play whatever amount it encoded. I have about 10 or 20 video files that do this. All the rest encode fine at 100%. It's pissing me off big huge ass time.

Is/has anyone having/had this problem??? What is the f-i-x?

thanks chaps.

never heard of the app you are talking about.

i just use handbrake, which is a freeware opensource app, to convert to ipod video format. converted hundreds of videos using it with no problem at all, and you can even queue up a buncha videos and it'll convert em all.

I use this program (Clone2Go video to ipod converter) which is what some site recommended to use for my iPod Touch 4g.

I paid 25 bucks for this thang... as for PQ I like it cause it gives me great options for encode tweaks such as adjusting bitrates upto 10Mbps for video as well as setting up custom resolutions and audio bitrates and video/audio sync adjustments.

Handbrake gives you all of those options and it's free.

You got scammed friend. Video encoding programs like this pop up all the time. You should never pay for encoding software as there's many good free programs out there.

Well thanks chap. Sounds like a great app. Originally I was trying to find a crack/serial for this Clone2Go software and it was extremely hard! I say ya gotta bull s#!t'in me cause it's real easy to find crack for more expensive software like PowerDVD, windows operating systems, etc. So I ended up purchasing the software only to find out the encode doesn't complete full length... I should've posted question here before buying this software D:

Are there any other free opensource software for encoding vid files for iPod touch?

Okie, update:

I tried the Handbrake. It shucks.D:

The reason:

After encoding the files and when I tried to import them to iTunes it says the files did not transfer because they cannot be played by iPod. It's happening to every one of them. With my Clone2Go software, it works almost everytime.

Anyone know the fix to my Clone2Go encoding problem??

What iPod/iPhone are you using?

Handbrake should output compatible video files.

If nothing else, check out videohelp.com for guides on converting video. There's a "convert" tab on the left side which will list plenty of guides for different types of conversions.

i've literally converted hundreds and hundreds of videos from xvid to ipod format w/the default "ipod" settings that are set in handbrake, and i've never once had any issue at all.

when i get home I can look more at my settings to see if they match the ones yours are defaulting to.

I use iPod Touch 4th generation. The iTunes I'm using is the current version that I recently downloaded.

Maybe I should upload some of my videos that I'm having trouble transferring so that you guys can try it out. I don't know if I have enough space in my megaupload account... it was expired some time ago.

I'm on iPod touch 3G and iPhone 4 now ... and i've put videos on both of them no probs.

i also updated to the latest itunes yesterday night actually while getting my iphone up to date, and after that i put a video i had converted with handbrake into iTunes and loaded it onto my iPhone no problem.

so yea if you can try upping a video you are having problems with, or at least a portion of it. i can try it out tonight.
