I have two of the exact monitors (see my sig) with the same exact res setting. I am using the cloneview mode for now so I basically know how it works ;)
What is the dual view on nvidia used for since I need to know before hand? Does my 7800 put out the same signals/pict simultaneously to both of my monitors?

(figures based on dual 1600x1200 monitors)

You can have the picture either cloned, spanned, or "Dualview".

Cloned is simply the same picture sent to both monitors. They'll show the EXACT same thing.

Spanned is simply like having a bigger monitor. As in games would run at 3200x1200.

Dualview is like having two seperate monitors.

You would have 3200x1200.

Spanned and dualview are basically the same thing as far as screen real estate go. It just changes how the maximize button and how games are displayed.

Span - both displayed across both monitors
dual - displayed on one, with your other stuff on another.

That covered it pretty much to a T. Clone.. well.. clones the image. Dualview is what I use. They can also be seperate resolutions if you wish.
