Clone CD-takes forever to burn

i have a game from easports that i am backing up.it takes like an hour to burn this,is this because it is a protected cd?

I doesn't take an hour to burn, it takes a long time to read.

Check the log under tools, it is possible getting bogged down with unreadable sectors found in copy protection like safedisk 1 & 2. Try fast error skip or get a toshiba CDR/DVD to read the CD quicker.

sorry.cams your right.it takes forever to read it.i cancelled and enabled fast error skip,it is
so much faster.thanks for all the replies and help guys

Glad to see you have gotten it figured out!😉 Another thing to remember......Clone CD will only write in 2X mode if you are using the "Demo" and not yet registered!😉

Do you mean SafeDisc 2.0? I've heard rumers that the HP 8250i (I have one) will copy SafeDisc 2.0 because the CD-RW doesn't support CD Text. I have no idea if this is true or not, because I don't have any SafeDisc 2.0 CD's. Also, I think there are three different versions of the 8250i, so it might be just one or two version that work ok.

I have a Plextor 40X UltraPlex Wide CD-ROM and a Plextor SCSI 12/10/32 and have somewhat successfully backed up the Black & White disk with CloneCD. The weird thing is, when I tried to run it in my system(no matter which drive I used), it would hang. When I installed the game off the disk in my son's computer, it ran just fine. His Afreey DVD drive didn't have any issues with it. What's up with that? I, of course, uninstalled it after trying it. 😀

I havent heard about the HPs working but if it does great. I know the the Plexes work but the copies only work on some drives(like wesman6). The Phillips drives seem to be able to do perfect copies. You can go to the CloneClinic Forums and get more info.

Hope this helps!
