Yeah it's not exactly "clocks" but I don't think they'd allow the actual # in the title. This is a hilarious observation by Christopher Cantwell. I encourage you to listen to this 3 minute clip or read below. NSFW!

Usually when I read about stupid things liberals do, I fear for the survival of humanity, and I become very angry. Today I found myself in tears, but it was due to laughter.

A planned demonstration at the University of Texas at Austin takes aim at a law allowing students with concealed carry licenses to bring their guns on campus. Gov. Greg Abbott signed Senate Bill 11, the campus carry law, in June. Starting in August 2016, the law will allow properly-licensed firearms owners to carry concealed handguns into most buildings on campus. The law also gives a certain amount of latitude to campus presidents, however, to designate so-called “gun-free zones.” READ MORE

Dildos: a threat to the survival of humanity. Because liberals.

Guns: not a threat to the survival of humanity. Because freedom.

Also: I love it how conservatives are constantly using the term "cram X down our throats".

The lunatics doth protest too much, me thinks.

[looks to the left and sees a crowd of feminist social-justice-warriors waving dildos in the air and screaming]

[looks to the right and sees a smaller number of people looking unimpressed and a handful saying they're a uncomfortable/unhappy with seeing someone's used sexual items in public]

Now... who are the "lunatics" again?

Okay... as soon as you see that happen, you can crow your claim of who the lunatics are to your heart's content. You'd be right.

...except it won't happen.

These... "demonstrations"... are almost exclusively coming from the mega-left-super-social-college-whatevers doing it for gender studies credits and fame (or notoriety.)

Three random pictures... no articles... no information...

........perhaps you'd like to make your point a little clearer? :hmm:

What do I need articles for? Do you live under a rock? I'm sure you're well aware of the "flex your rights" "open carry for the sake of open carry" to support the second amendment idiots as demonstrated by those pictures. Simply put, you framed these silly demonstrations only from the "mega-left-super-social-college-whatevers doing it for gender studies credits and fame (or notoriety.)" My counterpoint is self-explanatory visually. There are equally inane "demonstrations" from the "mega-right-super-maybe-GED-whatevers doing it for over-compensation and fame (or notoriety)." Now do you see what I did there?

No, no, no.

The people carrying their AR-15 to the grocery store when buying milk aren't making a political demonstration like lefty-leftist-SJWs.

They're just fucking cowards.

Anyone who can't see how hilarious it is that the law allows you to carry a deadly weapon around but not a dildo needs to take a step back and think for a minute.

Only when deliberately comparing apples to oranges.

Dildos might be banned for indecency. Just like banning women from walking around topless.

Just like anywhere else in society.

Uhh... You realize women going topless in public is legal all over the world right? Including in many states. Has been here for almost 20 years.

That's exactly what's so funny.

People there can walk around carrying something that they could use to kill you at a moments notice and conservatives often say that's fine and people shouldn't be bothered by it. Someone walking around with a sex toy? THINK OF THE CHILDREN.

Anyone who swoons at the sight of a dildo needs to get out more.

Really? All over the world?

Which nations?

Plenty of western nations, I think the major majority. People in the rest of the world usually seem confused about America's hang ups about nudity.

All that aside, women going topless is legal in a large majority of US states. I'm frankly amazed it is illegal in any, considering how silly the issue is.

...Yes, and there are also people who don't freak out at the sight of cops wearing guns. Because there's an expectation of responsible use. Permit-carrying gun owners have a similar expectation of them. Liberals have this wild-west, trigger-happy caricature of normal gun owners that doesn't reflect reality.

Someone walking around with a sex toy? THINK OF THE CHILDREN.

Or at least think of other people, yes. Have some consideration for their sensibilities. Is it technically legal for a white guy to greet every black guy with "Whatsup negro?" No. Is it being a jackass? Yes.

Anyone who swoons at the sight of a dildo needs to get out more.

No one swoons at the sight of a dildo. If you wish to force ugliness into the public view, you can expect reasonable push-back.

Okay, so we're no longer debating the issue in the OP, but the merits of laws on toplessness.

Fact: Laws against indecency exist the world over. A public dildo might reasonably be expected to fall afoul of such a law.

All of these things are very true! Now think back to the original post, which is about how Texas applies these principles to dildos and not to deadly weapons.

Now laugh with me at how stupid that is.

Right, and a country that has indecency laws that regulate the display of sex toys but not deadly weapons has lost its damn mind.

I mean you have to see how funny that is, no?

The only thing I find funny is your notion that Texas is not regulating deadly weapons. I mean who do you suppose issues these concealed carry licenses? And what do you suppose one has to subject him or herself to to acquire it?

That's concealed carry, not open carry.

I didn't say Texas wasn't regulating deadly weapons, I said that Texas prohibits the display of harmless sex toys in ways it doesn't for deadly weapons. That's some seriously messed up priorities?
